This has to be one of my favourite Driftwood Shed wedding that I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. Driftwood Shed is one of those unique wedding venues on the South Coast. It has all the rustic charms you could hope for and with so many little details. It literally sends a photographer like me crazy over the old rustic pieces of antique and rustic furniture. Plus all the stunning garden pieces around the place that brings it all together. It’s this, combined with its perfect position on the Shoalhaven River, that makes Driftwood Shed an incredible wedding venue. Perfect for that easy-going, DIY, relaxed and beautiful wedding.

A little about Blake and Sharna’s love story

Blake and Sharna’s love story begins a long time ago. Sharna was 15 and Blake 16 year old, the year was 2008. They met at an under 18s dance party and that night they exchanged numbers. They proceeded to send each other a lot of text messages. Blake used to go to school early just so that he could walk Sharna to school and see her.

They knew they were going to get married one day. It was just a matter of ‘the right timing’. It was actually just before their 10 year anniversary when Blake proposed at Hyams beach on the beautiful South Coast. Not far from where they would soon have this stunning Driftwood Shed wedding.

Dates play a huge role in this. The date that Blake asked Sharna to date him was the 22nd October 2008. They decided to get married on the 22nd February 2020. It just so happens to be Sharna’s parent’s wedding anniversary as well. They actually didn’t realise the coincidence. They realised after they told them and Sharna’s parents asked if they had chosen that date for that reason. The 22nd is also Sharna’s dad’s, her grandmother and Blake’s mum’s birthday. The number 22 seems to be their number!

The talents behind it all

The beauty of this Driftwood Shed Wedding would not have been made possible without all the creative and dedicated people involved in putting this together. You can find the list of all the incredible vendors listed at the end of this blog.
