Ok, I’m not sure where to start… but looking back and reflecting on 2019, it makes me incredibly humble and thankful that I get to do this for a living. I owe it to all the awesome humans who trusted me to capture their love.

My aim each year is to continually push myself to do better in this ART called wedding photography. In my mind, I’m always aiming to capture those beautiful spontaneous moments that happen, but in unique and creative ways.

This year two of my images ended up in the top ten at IWPOTY AWARDS. One of the highest esteemed awards in the wedding industry worldwide, so I’m definitely chuffed about that. Although in saying that, while achieving awards is great, nothing is more rewarding than reading the thank-you emails from my couples. The text messages. The joy I hear from couples week-in-week-out which makes me excited about what I do. That’s what keeps me going. Striving to create better art each year and to better serve my couples.

There have been over 40,000 images delivered to 56 amazing couples. Travelled thousands of kilometres around the Southern Highlands, South Coast, Sydney and Hunter Valley. To the vendors and venues that continue to recommend my work (you know who you are). Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support, encouragement, and camaraderie have made it an extreme delight to work with you in this industry. And of course thanks to my gorgeous three kids. My superwoman wife who powers through weekends solo-parenting (it’s a gruelling task) but she supports me in a thousand different ways. I often say she deals with the hardest part of the self-employed life.

So here are some of my favourite images of 2019 that brought it all together for me. All real weddings, real couples with all the emotions. The feel-good moment. The anxious parts. The smallest of details and the craziness on the dance floors. I look forward to 2020 with anticipation for another awesome year of more weddings and more adventures.

BRING IT ON!
